The force and power of rap/hip hop has drawn millions of fans through its rhythmic beats and poetic lyrics.  For over forty years now, and counting, rap/hip hop has been a dominant music influence, but can rap/hip-hop with all its force, power and influence draw its millions of fans into a political movement?  With all of its positive effect and influence, can it influence the political scene? Can it have a political voice in todays’ society?  The rap/hip hop voice can be heard from a political stage, but that voice does not resonate for very long. In order for rap/hip hop to have long lasting political influence among its millions of fans, it must promote positive messages, as well as, bond and strengthen its ties with powerful political figures. The rap/hip-hop culture and its evolution have had positive and negative influences on the American culture, and worldwide, but its positive influence far outweighs the negative.
